Met films als Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, La Science des rêves of Is the Man Who Is Tall Happy? is hij uitgegroeid tot een van de origineelste filmmakers van de 21^e eeuw.

Michel Gondry komt op 07.12 naar CINEMATEK om zijn film Microbe & Gasoline in te leiden. Op 08.12 zal hij om 15:00 een masterclass geven in KANAL-Centre Pompidou in het kader van zijn Usine de Films Amateurs en om 19:00 komt hij in CINEMATEK zijn carte blanche voorstellen.
